Powder puff game set

It is officially that time of year. Sports are coming to an end and fun activities are starting. Los Banos High school will be presenting their yearly powder puff game at the Loftin stadium on March 20.  Admission is free and open to the public.

Powder puff is a flag football game where the junior class faces off against the senior students for a flag football game. Every year they have players from the football team take part in a halftime performance.

The football players practice a dance routine at the school and a set of cheerleaders teach them what to perform for the halftime show. Jackson Silva (11) said, “I think it will be a fun experience. Its fun knowing I get to be in the cheerleaders shoes for a little amount of time and see how it is performing in front of a crowd.”

Girls on the other hand will also be practicing at the school to create a game plan for the actual football game. Vanessa Leal (11) said, “Playing football in front of crowd makes me feel confident and excited to play.”

Both girls teams will have coaches. Seniors will be coached by Ms. Todd. The juniors will be coached by our well known football coach, Coach Mentz.

This game is a must watch event.  Come out to cheer for your classmates.
