As the students get ready for Christmas break, ASB presented a playful twist to holiday festivities. As the students embraced the story of Dr. Seuss’s How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Dec 12 brought the students into a vibrant setting with decorations, costumes, and activities
The Rally kicked off with the band walking in performance and a variety of activities designed to entertain and inspire. The rally consisted of three games, basketball musical chairs where players must make their ball into the basket then run to the back of their row and take a seat, there will be more players than chairs; reindeer race where one student was the reindeer and one student was the driver, the driver holds onto pool noodles and the reindeer runs downs and back around a course it the team drops their reins they must stop before fixing or continuing; box stacking challenge the team gets 15-20 cardboard boxes and gets 45 seconds to build the tallest free standing tower, and to add to the fun festivities they added a shirt toss.
ASB students dressed in bright costumes and festive hats and wore decorated Christmas sweaters This year’s rally proved to be a heartwarming success, uniting the students and staff in celebration of the holiday season. The ASB committee then presented the spirit stick which was judged based on a sound app to quickly judge the crowd hype.
To finish off the rally the staff members came together to perform a four minute dance routine to “All I Want For Christmas” by Mariah Carey.
For the last week before the students go to Christmas break, ASB committee planned a dress-up week for staff and students to get into Christmas festivities.
