After months of hard work, spring break has arrived starting March 30 till April 6, giving everyone a chance to relax and enjoy time away from school. It is the perfect opportunity to make memories, try new things, and spend time with family.
There are many things students can do over spring break. Students can plan beach days, have sleepovers, go shopping, try new food places, or even just stay home and watch your favorite shows. Some people like to travel, and others just enjoy staying local and relaxing. It is really all about doing what makes you happy before school starts again.
The school security guard, Ms. Lorinda Sanchez, has some super fun plans. She’s going to Disneyland for two days and is visiting both parks. She said she is really excited to try all different types of food and spend time with her family. She is also going to softball games, making it a fun and busy week for her.
Gisele Castro (12) is heading to San Diego for spring break. Castro is excited to go to the beach, ride jet skis, go shopping, and get tan in the warm weather. She is also looking forward to taking cute pictures to keep as memories and post on Instagram.
“This trip is probably going to be one of the best ones yet. I am so ready to get tan and go shopping with my mom,” Castro said.
Teacher and drama advisor Ms. Alyssa Zorra is spending her break in New York City as a chaperone for Choir. They are leaving Thursday the 26 after school and returning April 1. The choir students auditioned to sing in New York and qualified, which is a huge accomplishment. They will be performing at Carnegie Hall. Her birthday falls on Easter, and the day before, April 4, she is going to a San Jose Sharks hockey game.
“The main thing I am most excited for is going to Broadway and watching Six, a musical about the six wives of Henry VIII,” said Zorra.
No matter how you spend your spring break, it is a time to relax, have fun, and enjoy a break from the usual routine before finishing the school year strong.
