Prom 2026 is set for April 11 with the theme “Golden Hour,” bringing excitement and mixed emotions for seniors. Tickets are on sale until April 3, costing $100 with ASB and $110 without. The event will take place at Cotton Tree Ranch in Dos Palos, with the bus leaving at 4:45 p.m. and returning around 10:30 p.m.
Many seniors feel mixed about the location. “I am a bit disappointed with the prom location since I thought we were going to have last year’s venue in Fresno,” said Melani Almanza (12).
Janae Hutchinson (12) also wished for a different venue. “I’m really excited because it’s our last prom, but I’m also kind of sad it’s at a barn. I wish it was in Fresno like last year.”
Celeste Herrera (12) shared similar feelings but stayed positive. “I would prefer a different venue, but I’m still looking forward to getting ready and spending time with friends.”
Despite their concerns, students are excited for the night. “What I’m most looking forward to at prom is hanging out with my friends and taking pictures,” Almanza said.
Hutchinson is focused on making memories after the dance. “I’m most excited to go out to eat with my friends after prom.”
Herrera is also looking forward to enjoying her last high school dance. “I’m a little sad that this is the last high school dance we’ll be having, but I’m super excited for it.”
When it comes to dress shopping, students have different favorites. “I think the best place to shop for dresses is Wish Boutique in Clovis because they have really cute options,” Hutchinson said.
Herrera suggested a bigger shopping trip. “The best place to go dress shopping would be in LA because they have so many different stores and styles.”
As the date approaches, seniors are preparing for a night centered on friends, memories, and celebrating the end of high school.
