As the final weeks of our senior year go away, there’s a mix of so many different emotions. It’s hard to believe that the class of 2026 are on the edge of graduating, something seniors have looked forward to for so long. It’s a time where we reflect on the journey we have shared and the legacy we are about to leave behind.
This isn’t just about seniors, it’s also about those who are going to follow in their footsteps, and the juniors who are going to watch their upper classmen friends start a new chapter in their life. The bonds that were formed between juniors and seniors have a lot of meaning to them because of the guidance and support most seniors gave them. And giving them a good high school experience before leaving.
Many juniors reflect on these friendships such as Danamari Madrigal (11) she said, “One of my favorite memories was when my favorite senior brought me Starbucks at lunch, it was a sweet gesture.” This shows the heartwarming and meaningful bond that juniors and seniors have and also could have.
Most juniors look up to their seniors and think they have made a good impact overall. Gabriella Romo (11) said, “ The graduating class has left a strong impact on the school through their leadership, friendships, and the example for younger students.”
Seniors are seen as mentors who offer advice on everything physically and emotionally. They have been through it all and their judgement can be meaningful to younger students who are still figuring things out and finding their way.
As graduation starts to approach, underclassmen recognize the gap that will be left by their senior friends and how challenging it will kind of be without their presence.
