Summer is one of the best seasonal opportunities to get together with family and friends. The only concern that commonly remains is where to go.
A perfect place to go that also has access to the beach is the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The Monterrey aquarium consists of many activities such as looking at clownfish, starfish, giant octopuses, sharks, penguins, jelly fish, kelp forests and fish skeletons. This aquarium allows hands-on-experiences with touch pools that let people touch small ocean creatures like sea stars, sea cucumbers, and bat rays. There are also resting areas on the viewing decks that provide telescopes for spotting sea otters and whales. After an exhausting day of activities, the Monetary aquarium has a cafe that sells food and drinks such as macaroons, cookies, sandwiches, french fries, caesar salad, food bowls, burgers, juices, and more.
Another place to visit that is more on the swimming side would include the Yosemite National Park. This park allows activities like hiking, swimming in lakes, camping with tents and with RVs, fishing, and a tour to Yosemite’s glacier point. However, RV camping requires reservations beforehand to find a perfect place near the camping sites. Yosemite National Park also has a discovery walk where people get to see the giant sequoia trees and beautiful cliffs with giant waterfalls. A variety of wild animals may be seen like squirrels, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, foxes, and more. This National park also includes souvenir shops and nearby restaurants with foods like eggs with potatoes, burgers with fries, and full course meals like steak with asparagus.
A refreshing place to go to is the Splash-n-Dash Aqua Park in Snelling, CA. This waterpark consists of floaty obstacles, racing courses, swimming, rock climbing, and “Mega Blobs” where people can launch others into the water. This is more of a social event where a lot of people may hang out in the same space. However, Splash-n-Dash requires people to bring sunscreen, towels, floaties, speakers, and shade tents. This waterpark also provides cafes and snack areas for people to chill and eat. The cafes may sell foods like sirloin burgers, hot dogs, tacos, ice cream, slushies, chips, and way more including non-food items such as camping and lake supplies.
Overall, all that matters is being able to hang out with the people you love and see them enjoy events such as these.
