The end of school is approaching quickly, and the class of 2026 has several important events and deadlines coming up. Seniors should make a note of the following dates to ensure they are to stay informed and prepared for graduation activities.
Ms. Mejia the senior counselor stated, “We want seniors to stay organized and informed so they can fully enjoy their final weeks of high school and be prepared for graduation activities.”
Graduation cap and stole decorations must be approved by Mrs. Punt or Mr. Souza by May 13 through email. Seniors planning to personalize their graduation attire should complete and submit their design before the deadline. To reach Mrs. Punt or Mr. Souza, [email protected] & [email protected]
The Senior Banquet will take place on May 20. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 6:00 p.m. The Senior Banquet is for the class of ‘26 to be awarded their scholarship(s). Students are encouraged to dress appropriately for the occasion. Students are given five invitations for family and friends (6 people a table including said student).
The class of 2026 Baccalaureate ceremony will be held on May 21 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 6:00 p.m. family and friends are encouraged to attend this special celebration.
Textbooks must be turned in by May 22. Economics and Government classes will receive scheduled return dates from their teachers. LB2MC students should return books during break, lunch, before school, or after. Students who fail to make payments or returns will not participate in the graduation ceremony.
The Senior Awards Ceremony will be held on May 26 in the MPB at 6:00pm. This recognizes seniors for their academic achievements, leadership, and accomplishments throughout the year. Awards will be pins, stoles, cords, etc. The recipients will receive an invite to the ceremony. Ms. Mejia said, “Family and friends are encouraged to attend the Senior Awards Ceremony to honor seniors’ hard work, dedication, and academic success.”
Seniors attending Grad Nite at Disneyland will depart on May 28 at 5:00 a.m. and return on May 29 at 7:00pm students with questions should contact Mr. Leonard in room 747.
The annual Senior elementary walk is scheduled for June 1 and 2. Departure is at 8:30am for visits to all schools. Only 216 seats are available, and only students who sign up in advance may attend. June 1 is to go to Henry Miller, Volta, LFE, and Charleston. June 2 is to go to Westside, LBE, MSE, Grasslands, and Miano.
Senior Sunset will take place on June 3. Students may bring their own chairs and blankets. RSVPs must be completed by May 24 through Google Classroom. Students with questions can contact Ms. Barcellos. Students may contact Ms. Barcellos ([email protected]).
Radiation practice is mandatory and will be held on June 5 at Loftin Stadium. Seniors must arrive by 8:00 a.m. in order to participate. Graduation tickets will be distributed after practice, and a to-go breakfast will be served.
The graduation ceremony for the class of 2026 will also take place on June 5 at 8:00 p.m. at Loftin Stadium. Seniors must report to the Tiger Gym at 6:30 p.m. while guests may enter the stadium beginning at 7:00 p.m.. All guests must have a ticket for entry.
Following graduation, Sober Grad Night will be hosted at the Los Banos Community Center to provide graduates with a safe and fun celebration.
Beginning June 15, graduates may pick up their diplomas and unofficial transcripts at the main office. Office hours are:
June: 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
July: 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
August: 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
