Mrs. Curutchague’s AP Spanish Language and Culture class showcased important Spanish people from history in a wax museum on May 25 during period 4 and lunch in the library.

Students were asked to pick a notable character to research and portray.  The delivery included dressing as the person chosen, finding a pose and giving a one minute monologue as if they were that person.   Props and posters with information added to the overall performance.  Students chose such individuals as Sonia Sotomayor, Selena Quintanilla, Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, Minerva Mirobal, Frida Kahlo, Pancho Villa, La Chilindrina, Federico lorca Garcia, and Carmen Bouliosa.

Mrs. Curutchague said, “I gave my students direction, but I give them all the credit for their enthusiasm and hard work they put into it. Their performance was memorable and brilliant!”

Also present at the event were two school board members, Marg Benton, Anthony Parreira, and acting superintendent, Mr.  Bubar.
