Football is Back

The Los Banos Tigers football team got a chance to test their capabilities last Friday, August 18 in a scrimmage against the Hilmar Yellowjackets.

“The team looked good,” says Jorge Sanchez, offensive tackle.  Andre Castillo, who plays wide receiver as well as defensive back had a deeper insight on the team. “The passing game wasn’t as good as we expected, but it is a work in progress but our running game was good, we just need to clean up a few loose ends.”

Overall the team did well at the scrimmage but lacks a sense of chemistry on the field, the same sense that can win games when the team is in a deficit. The Tigers players believe their bond as brothers on the field will develop over time. It is not something that can be practiced, it is battle born.
