Students Compete at Local Speech Competition

On October 4 at Espana’s, five students from the  FFA chapter competed at the 31st Los Banos and San Joaquin Valley Resource Conservation District Speech Contest.

Siana Barrett, junior, won 1st place, Ally Watkins, sophomore, won 2nd place and in 3rd place, Cassiana Rolicheck, sophomore.

Participants had to addresses the topic of “How can RCDs better involve their communities in conservation?”  Speeches are required to be three to five minutes long.

For their first year of competing, Lizbeth Espinosa, Daelyn Vaca, Cassiana Rolicheck, and Ally Watkins all agreed that they would definitely participate in future RCD speech contests.
