November 3 was the cross town clash between Los Banos Tigers and the Pacheco Panthers.  For the whole week of October 30 – November 4, we had dress up days and a rally themed “Kings of the Jungle” for that Friday night’s game, where Tigers took the lead with a final score of  55-21.

Unfortunately, the junior class fell short at the rally to the seniors and lost the spirit stick in the class chant. We had an amazing speech by Mr. Hill about sports and rivalry as well as a ceremony to announce all of the fall sports which include football, cross country, volleyball, girls tennis, and water polo.

Bridget Lopez, ASB president expressed, “The rally went really good. It was the second rally that the ASB class and I had to organize together. There were a few hiccups in the games that we had but other than that everything went smoothly.”

For the rallies usually the ASB process is the president pitches ideas to the class, and they vote on the best ideas that students can do the most things with. Then once everything is settled, the class makes and buys decorations to set up the rally. Then the day before the actual rally, they put all of the decorations up in the Tiger gym. “It takes a lot of effort, but the class and each of the class officers really step up to help at completing our tasks and putting everything together. There is a lot of artistic people in our class who create class posters and murals which make the gym spirited,” Lopez explained.

Sophomore Sienna Hampton says, “I think the rally was alright, but there could have been some improvements to make it better and that could get the classes more hyped.”

The next rally will be in the winter for our basketball homecoming on January 19. Make sure you bring your spirit Tigers!
