The FFA chapter held its annual Sweetheart dinner on February 15, crowning senior Tess Menezes as the FFA Sweetheart. She worked hard along side, Janessa Jimenez, 9; Cassiana Rollicheck, 10; Gianna Warren, 11 who helped raise over $28,000 for the chapter.

The money will go to FFA for leadership activities.  “It is truly amazing how much support the community has for fundraising and organization,” said Mr. McCullough, FFA adviser.

Each year, four FFA students are elected by their peers, and if they accept the position, agree to sell balloons starting in January with deliver the week of Valentine’s Day. This is the biggest fundraiser for the chapter.  Students earn activity points by helping with assembling the balloons for parent deliveries.  The balloons sell for $4.00 each.
