Wyatt Laguna, Staff Reporter

From cheering on the sidelines to advanced placement classes to taking college courses, this girl does it all! Hailey Yates is the name of the game and she is not stopping now.

Hailey Yates, senior, is a veteran of journalism and is working towards her goal of being a registered nurse. “I would like to be a nurse for my different reasons. I have always wanted to be in the medical field, and I have always liked helping people,” said Yates when asked why she wanted to be a nurse.

Yates has been taking college courses for the past two years at the Merced JC while still in high school. She has worked since she was 16 where she was hired at In-N-Out at the end of her sophomore year.

With all the things she does in her life, she is also a cheerleader for LBHS.  She has been able to maintain a 4.2 GPA. Most of her high school classes have been AP as well.

What can she not do? Hailey Yates deserves to be put in the spotlight as one the star students of LBHS.
