Our school always has senior activities at the end of the year for last goodbyes. The class of 2018 had a banquet dedicated to them on May 18 from 6 to 11 p.m. The Parent Club and volunteers decorated and set up the event in the multi purpose building.

As seniors entered the event, they were given ten raffle tickets for the donated raffle prizes.  Then, to the right of the door, there was a dessert table of marshmallows, pretzels, strawberries, and graham crackers for the chocolate fountains.

Moving on to the following tables, there was a raffle table where the seniors could put their tickets in a jar to win from various prizes such as A’s tickets, Santa Cruz tickets, two yearbooks, G-Eazy tickets, Bath and Body works items, Starbucks cup, and many more.

In the middle of the room was the dance floor decorated with lights with the DJ was on the stage. At the end of the dance floor was a photo booth with hats, glasses, crowns, and other props. Next to the 2018 sign, there was a table full of candy along with candy bags. There was ring pops, Hershey kisses, lolly pops, M&M’s, gummy worms and sour gummy worms. There was also a table full of chips and salsa.

Once all the seniors were seated, they were first served a salad, than a meal of tri tip, scalloped potatoes, green beans with tomatoes, and a roll. The servers were teachers from various schools within the district who were nominated by the senior class. The volunteers were chosen based on who influenced the seniors the most throughout their school years.

After dinner, seniors danced, took pictures, and continued to have fun for the rest of the night.

Overall, the banquet was a success. Thank you for all who attended and all the volunteers that help made that day memorable to the class of 2018!
