Kindness Awareness Week Makes a Difference

Angelica Sanchez, Staff Reporter

Hello Tigers,

If you have not noticed or heard, week of February 18-22 was Kindness Awareness Week.

What do you think being kind is? Ask yourself that. Kindness is being nice, showing respect towards others, helping others, and just caring. To dedicate a week to kindness is a great idea, but many people think kindness should be shown all the time.

All English teachers received an email from Mr. Gurgen with a questionnaire for students, about what they thought kindness was, a story of an experiment with kindness, and a thank you letter. The students’ responses were printed out and posted inside the MPB room.

On Tuesday, February 19 during lunchtime, there were students at the exit of the gates handing out little baggies of sweets and snacks to represent kindness toward other students.

On Thursday, February 22, the school hosted a blood drive for students 16 and old. This event was part of the kindness awareness week. More than 150 students participated in the blood drive.

Be kind Tigers!
