Movie Review: Midway Teaches History

Alex Caloca, Staff Reporter

The movie, Midway is an American War film based on the events taken after the attack of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. This film was directed by Roland Emmerich who also produced the film with Harald Kloser and written by Wes Tooke. This movie was released on Friday, November 8, 2019.

This movie was inspired by true incredible events during the time of WWII in the year 19942. The movie Midway focuses on the Battle of Midway which was a battle fought between the American Fleet and the Japanese Navy. It also shows how leaders and soldiers overcame the odds by being brave and trusting one another while in battle. The Battle of Midway was a huge turning point in the Pacific during WWII and was a battle that will never be forgotten that was fought by brave men.

This movie is definitely one to watch again. It really kept the audience entertained the whole time. It was an action filled movie and really interesting the whole time. It is also a really good way to learn something about American past and what soldiers and veterans sacrificed for our nation.

Midway is one of my top favorite movies after watching it.  I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes action, thrills, or war-related type of genre. This movie receives a 10/10 rating.
