This year will be the 4th year the Los Banos cross country team will be hosting the Turkey Trot on November 28, located at the Loftin Stadium. It is a 5k run/ walk to burn off some calories before your big Thanksgiving dinner that night. The cost is $30 dollars in advance or $40 dollars the day of the race.

“All proceeds benefit the Los Banos High School boys and girls Cross Country teams,” said head coach Joe Barcellos.

Running times of the run will be kept but no medals will be handed out. Paid participants will receive a long sleeve T-Shirt. There will also be free pumpkin pie handed out after the run. This run is just something fun and a way for the cross country to raise money.

There will also be a free kids run 10 and under, which will just be one lap around the track. This race will be a race day sign up, and must have a parent present to sign in. Participation medals will be handed out to all kids in this event.

The race preparation starts with 7:30- 8:15 a.m. check-ins and registration. At 8:15 a.m., the free kids run will start. Approximately at 8:30 a.m., the 5k walk/run will begin. All are welcomed, so please come out and support the Cross Country teams.
