Tiger Winter Trip: Jenny Prado

Gabriel Ortiz, Staff Reporter

Hey Tigers! Winter break had everyone really happy. The break was three weeks long and I asked senior, Jenny Prado what she did.

Jenny took the first days off just to relax. She slowly started to prepare for the event coming up.

She took part of a Quinceanera as a godmother. She said that she had, “…the best time ever.” Her brother, Jaime Prado was the main to the quinceaera and he got an allergic reaction from the clothes. Jenny was very confused but helped him, and they both got right back into the mix.

Jenny spent Christmas with friends and family, then she celebrated her sister’s birthday party the next day by going on a birthday lunch, watching Frozen 2.

New Year’s Eve rolled around and her family threw an amazing party! For food, “…there was steak, chicken, rice, beans, vegetables, sauce, chips and much more, ” she said.

To top off the break, Jenny took a trip to Santa Barbara. She said that, “Santa Barbara was so nice, the palm trees, the ocean breeze, the beautiful sunsets just made it worth it especially when I am with my family. I went to go see a car show with my cousin’s friend, Ralpha and my brother, Jaime.”

Jenny commented, “Santa Barbara has this pizza place called, “Rusty’s Pizza Parlor” and it’s on another level.”

Since she only goes to Santa Barbara when she gets breaks from school, Jenny spent time bonding with her cousins, walking around State Street, walking on the beach, and going to the shopping stores near by. “This was a really fun winter break. Even though I am not from here, I still love to come visit family since they are important to me,” mentioning her brother, Jaime Prado.

If you ever want to go to Santa Barbara soon, then take Jenny’s word for it and take a trip down south.
