Did you feel safe Trick-or-Treating this past Halloween?

Many families were uncertain about their children going door-to-door. Since the activity of Trick-or-Treating is mostly outside, social distancing and mask mandates were on the safer side. The uncertainty was at the door where candy was given. At this time, COVID transmissions can increase if mandates were not followed.

Around 52% of parents were not allowing their children to Trick-or Treat was quoted by Leger and the Association for Canadian Studies.

There were hardly any Trick-or-Treaters in the cities of Los Banos and Modesto for the same reason that parents were concerned for their child.

Mrs. Stephanie Arzate, resident of Modesto and mother stated that she did not let her child out for Halloween. ¨It´s too dangerous to take a chance and catch something.¨

Some event were still held, for example Fantozzi Farms corn maze was open with masks required and social distancing enforced.
