Are you looking for something positive this year? Thanksgiving and delicious pastries are one of them. Here are the top six delicious thanksgiving desserts you will love, just in time for the holiday season.

To quote poet, Israelmore Ayivor, “To a hungry person, every bitter food is sweet. When the preferable is not available, the available becomes preferable!”  And who would not prefer dessert!!   These six desserts will leave you wanting a taste and just adding some sugar into your life.

Let’s start with pies. Thanksgiving is filled with amazing and delicious recipes, yet there hasn’t been a thanksgiving without their famous pies. The Pecan pie, made with pecan nuts mixed with a filling of eggs, butter, and sugary syrup, originated in the Southern U.S. This pie is a very popular and recommended for Thanksgiving.  The mix of the sugary and saltiness is hard to resist.  Also another well-known pie is the  Pumpkin pie for its sweet-savory taste that can’t be missed. Its traditional meaning is a must-have for every dinner table. Lastly, the one and only, the Apple pie, from your nearest drive-thru to your favorite supermarket, has a savory taste of cinnamon and apples that warms your stomach with sweetness.

Although Thanksgiving pies are normally the popular dessert choice, other delicious pastries that can’t be ignored is first,  the Cheesecake, with every flavor thinkable, consisting of a mixture of soft, fresh cheese, eggs, and sugar. The continuing flavor continues with sugary and creamy Caramel apples, and like the cheesecake, its mixed flavors of fruity and sugary flavors waters your mouth just talking about it.  Last but not least, the well-known, drink of the season is the Pumpkin Pie Spice Latte. It might not be a pastry, but it sure is a favorite after dinner treat, made up of warm spices, like cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.

There are so many fabulous desserts to compliment your Thanksgiving dinner.  Which one is most recommend?  After asking a dozen anonymous juniors, “Which of the six desserts would you recommend?”, the results were a tie between Pecan Pie and Cheesecake, proving that to pick just one is impossible because they are all so delicious.

Try one of these desserts and warm your Thanksgiving with a little bit of sugar.
