Ahh… Valentine’s Day. The day that everyone either loves or hates. Need some help coming up with fun date ideas for everyone looking to have a good time? Keep reading.

1. Baking Date

One fun date idea that will help connect two people whether in a romantic or platonic way is baking. Not only is it a great time to spend the day together doing a relaxing activity, but the kitchen will be filled with delicious smells of baked goods in the oven. It is also an opportunity to have a fun little competition to see who can decorate the prettiest Valentine’s Day dessert.

2. Movie Night

No matter what they say, everyone has a soft spot for sappy romance movies. Valentine’s Day happens to be the one day that everyone who swears they are against those types of movies can watch them all in one night. Think about it, you’re laying next to your valentine eating your favorite snacks while watching the sappiest movie you guys could find and having the best night of your life. Name a better way to spend time together.

3. Painting Date

Painting is one of the best ways to express your emotions. Paint on Valentine’s Day and you got one emotional canvas. If you want to surprise your valentine with a cute date, take them to the park and paint something that reminds you of one another. Something like a cute memory you guys have together, an object that reminds you of them, a representation of an inside joke you guys have, etc.

4. Picnic Date

Going on a picnic for Valentine’s Day is one of the most common and romantic date ideas. It’s a special time you get to spend with your valentine and not have to worry about anything else in the world. All it is, is you and your valentine enjoying each other’s company while eating yummy foods that you guys might have even baked earlier on in the day together .

5. Spa Date

Something exciting you and your valentine can try this Valentine’s Day is having a stay-at-home spa date. All you need is your favorite playlists, a few face masks, manicure supplies, and massaging skills. First things first, set up a comfy space to lay down and relax. Second, gather all the materials needed for the evening. Lastly, get ready to spend time in full relaxation and tranquility.

Valentine’s Day is a day for everyone to celebrate the idea of love. It’s a day for couples to have a nice romantic evening together, and a day for single people to celebrate themselves either alone or with the people they love the most.

A senior at LBHS Rhea Caliso stated, “Coming up with a date idea for Valentine’s Day isn’t hard when you are spending it with the right person.”

At the end of the day, as long as you are spending Valentine’s Day with people you love, there is no need to stress about your plans for the day. The only thing you have to worry about is how much money you’re really willing to spend on chocolate.
