The Art Club just completed their annual pie fundraiser marking this year their third year doing it. The fundraiser ran from Oct. 4 through Nov. 12.
The Art Club did this fundraiser to raise money for their spring field trip to the Walt Disney Family Museum, located in San Francisco. There they will do a two hour workshop on animation with a one hour self guided tour.
The club ran this fundraiser with the goal of raising enough money to fully cover the cost of the school buses that will take them to and from the museum in San Francisco.
A pie fundraiser was ideal for the Art Club because it’s a popular dessert that is present at most Thanksgiving dinners if not all.
“ Truthfully, it’s a great time of year–we plan sales right before Thanksgiving and we think it’s a great selling point,” stated the Art Club’s Advisor, Mrs. Sarah Sagouspe.
The company that provides the pies is out of Ripon and is called The Pie Co. The company always gives the Art Club a great opportunity to work with them each year. This year marks the third year the Art Club has worked with The Pie Co. to do this fundraiser.
The pies that were sold consisted of various fall flavored and summer berry pies. The flavors are as follows: Apple, Dutch Apple, Apricot, Boysenberry, Mixed Berry, Strawberry Rhubarb, Peach Cobbler, Carmel Apple, and Pumpkin.
Each pie was sold for $20 and the purchases were made through any of the Art Club members. Every pie that was purchased greatly helped keep the cost of the Art Clubs field trip down so that students could attend without having to pay.
“ We have one more fundraiser planned for St. Patrick’s Day 2026 — we will be selling green beads, face gems and small face painting during break and lunch on March 17, 2026,” stated Mrs. Sagouspe.
