The Black Student Union bundt cake fundraiser is more than just a chance to enjoy a sweet treat, it is an opportunity to support BSU and their events in the upcoming school year.
BSU chose bundt cakes as the focus of their fundraiser to help prepare the club financially for next school year. Fundraising has been an important way for the club to stay organized and ready. By fundraising and raising money now, BSU hopes to avoid stress at the beginning of the next school year and could immediately start planning events and activities without having to worry about cost.
Alana Arnold (12) is president of BSU and explained how BSU works hard to spread awareness about African-American culture. The club creates a space where Black students, and anyone who wants to join can feel welcomed, supported, and connected.
This fundraiser offers a wide variety of bundt cake flavors to choose from which include Red Velvet, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Raspberry, Lemon, Oreo Cookies and Cream, Confetti, Strawberries and Cream, Carrot, Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie, Gluten-Free Lemon Raspberry, and Classic Vanilla. Each bundt cake costs $8, making it an affordable way to support the club while enjoying a delicious dessert of your choice. The last day to place an order for a bundt cake is March 9, and the pick up date for the bundt cakes is March 12.
The money raised will likely go towards club t-shirts for next year, something BSU provides at the start of the school year. While plans may vary, the fundraiser will ensure that the club can begin strong and organized.
“Students can support the fundraiser by placing an order for a bundt cake. Even spreading the word to friends and family can make a big difference. The more people who get involved, the more successful the fundraiser will be,” Arnold said.
The BSU bundt cake fundraiser is a sweet way to give back, show support, and help the club for the upcoming school year.
