On March 20, 2024 Los Banos Tigers went against the Pacheco Panthers in a WAC Dual Meet. 

It was both of the rival schools senior night, in which parents and relatives came and showed support for the student athletes on their last home meet. First a Pacheco athlete was called and then a Los Banos athlete alternatively. Each got to give a flower to a person of choice, gave a small speech, and got to walk down the track towards their family and relatives waiting on the track. 

Los Banos girls varsity did an outstanding job as they took first place in Discus, 4 by 100 meters, 400 meters, 200 meters, 100 meters, 100 meter hurdles, 300 meter hurdles, the 4 by 400, and long jump. 

Varsity athlete Ava Felix (11) said, “The 100 meter hurdle race was good but I can perform better, and I’m striving to get a new personal record.” 

Varsity Athlete Arianna Flores (12)  participated in the Discus and Shotput events and said, “I think I did pretty decent. I didn’t throw my best, but I did what I could. Now I just have to throw my best and keep on improving.”

Varsity athlete Adam Aguilar (12) said, “I did amazing and got first place in both of my races, the 300 meter and 110 meter hurdles. I got a new personal record on the 300 by 3 seconds, we defeated Pacheco.”

Most, if not all of the track and field levels came out victorious on their senior night. It’s just a tradition to win against Pacheco.
