Addison Grove is a dedicated member of her school’s softball team who always gives her best effort. She takes pride in representing her team and competing at a high school level.
She plays first base, second base, and pitcher, which shows how versatile she is as an athlete. Being able to play multiple positions allows her to help her team in many different ways.
At first and second base, Grove enjoys being involved in a lot of plays and helping her team defensively. She likes staying active on the field and knowing she can make an impact during the game.
As a pitcher, she enjoys being in control of the game and setting the pace for her team. She appreciates the mental and physical challenges that pitching brings and sees it as an opportunity to grow.
Grove said “I started playing softball when I was younger and quickly fell in love with the game.” Over time, it became more than just a game and turned into something she is truly passionate about.
She loves being part of a team and competing alongside her teammates. The friendships and memories she has made through softball are some of her favorite experiences.
When it comes to handling pressure, Grove focuses on staying calm and trusting her preparation. She believes that the hard work she puts in at practice helps her perform well in games.
“One of my biggest strengths is being versatile since i can play multiple positions”, Grove said. She is also hardworking and competitive, always pushing herself to improve.
Even with her strengths, Grove is always working on getting stronger and more consistent. She especially focuses on improving her pitching and hitting so she can continue to grow as a player.
Looking ahead, she hopes to continue playing softball after high school if she has the opportunity. For this season, her goals are to improve every game, help her team win, and grow as both a player and a leader.
Grove is inspired by athletes who work hard and never give up, and she tries to bring that mindset to the field every day. Softball has taught her discipline, teamwork, and confidence that she will carry with her beyond the game.
