ASB hosted the 4th annual Winter Formal together with Pacheco on Dec 13 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the fairgrounds. The Winter Ball themed dance was executed with gold, silver, white and blue decorations.
ASB advisor Mr. Frank Leonard thought that overall the dance was a success, even though only around 190 students attended the dance. “From what I observed, the people who did go seemed to be having a really good time,” Leonard commented.
“I enjoyed the dance and I liked how there were a variety of different options for taking photos,” said Victoria De La Torres (12). To memorize the night, there was a free photobooth and a 360 booth as well as many different backdrops for taking photos on your own.
“I really liked the DJ’s choice of music and the way the space was decorated,”answered ASB officer Nicole Curutchague (12) when asked what she liked the most at the dance.
Curuthchague was pleased with how the dance turned out, as well as with how smoothly the set up and clean up went. Furthermore Curutchague explained how she was happy with the cooperation with Pacheco’s ASB students.
“I like how they came up with the concept of including a free snack to the ticket,” stated De La Torres.
Students were able to buy snacks including cookies, chips, little cake cups and mini charcuterie boards. The ticket included a free food item of choice worth $2 from the snack booth. In addition there was an opportunity to buy drinks made by Sipsys.
“As someone who took part in organizing the dance, it was nice to see everyone dancing and enjoying the night,” Curutchague said. She emphasized how well the dance commissioners did with all the planning and executing their vision into life.
After a great success with the Winter Formal, ASB looks forward to hosting the rest of the dances for this school year.
